I recently hunted a desert bighorn sheep with Ty Miller's El Fuerte Outfitters
in Baja California Sur, Mexico. Ty's 11 yrs of cultivating good relations with
the Ejido tribe, his hard work and conservation ethics, made hunting with these
folks a pleasure. At no time did I feel remotely unsafe, and true to his word, I
did not pay a penny for transportation, lodging, or meals while in Mexico. Ty
and his team do everything possible to make your hunt successful, including a
liberal wound and extension of hunt policy. All in all, I couldn't have been
taken better care of, and by the way, the grand slam ram is on the wall!

Hunted mid March in a very traditional style, back-packing water and all
supplies. Such is sheep hunting. The temperature was hotter than a fire cracker,
however, we hunted hard and long, and eventually found the ram I had hoped for
to complete my slam. The guides were friendly, professional, and possessed good
eyes. The country was much rougher than I expected, even after personally
guiding over 100+ sheep hunters in North America for Bighorn, Stone and Dall
sheep. That said, I really enjoyed the experience, the people, and the Baja.

Anyone who has hunted sheep knows what a significant investment in time and
money a sheep hunt can be. Deciding who to trust to make that once in a lifetime
hunt successful and enjoyable experience was, to me, a major leap of faith. I
was extremely fortunate to land with Ty Miller and El Fuerte Outfitters.
From our first phone conversation until well after my hunt was over and I was
back home Ty has been helpful, honest, professional, and organized. All
paperwork permits, and inspections were handled very efficiently. Glitches were
few and quickly resolved.
My hunt area was awesome---remote, rugged, and beautiful. Through the hard work
of my guides I was able to take a very nice ram. It was a challenging hunt but

My father Roy and I had a very special sheep hunt with Ty Miller and his crew. We spent quality time with our guides, interpreters, and camp staff and really enjoyed the whole Mexico sheep hunt experience. I was lucky enough to take my sheep on the 6th day of my hunt after a long hot stalk. My ram was the 9th of the 1st day's hunt. The guides were excellent and totally

for record class Boone and Crockett sheep. The age structure of the rams seen

hunt in the Ejido Bonfil “Biosphere” area. I was
